With increasing concerns over environmental issues that surrounds the ecological sustainability of shrimp farming, even the world's biggest food retailer like Wal-Mart has committed to purchasing only from shrimp farms that are certified by Aquaculture Certification Council (ACC) as being farmed in environmentally sound ways. Blue Archipelago also understands this requirement very well and our integrated shrimp aquaculture operations are on track to receive these certifications.

Today, Blue Archipelago's Kerpan farm has already received the certification from the Malaysian government that allows our shrimps to be exported to the EU.

While providing employment to a potential of 2,000 locals within the rural space as a part of our social responsibility, the end result are shrimps that are truly tasty, safe and farmed responsibly with the greatest respect for the environment.
