High quality shrimp with excelled export market standards

Our business is built on the foundations of high quality standards, food safety, ecological sustainability and social responsibility. We currently operate two farms, iKERPAN (Integrated Kerpan) in Kedah and iSHARP (Integrated Shrimp Aquaculture Park) in Setiu with a processing plant and a network of hatcheries.

iSHARP

Integrated Shrimp Aquaculture Park or iSHARP is a 1000 hectares farm located in Setiu, Terengganu. iSHARP Farm is a modern designed facility that has ecological shrimp hatcheries and enables safe farming activities sustainably.

Phase 1 (2011)

Covers 432 hectares with 255 ponds with a production capacity of 3,000MT per annum and a dedicated Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) hatchery that has a production capacity of producing (60 million/month x 12 months) 720 million post larvae per annum. Both facilities are certified under MyGap and FQC. 98% of iSHARP’s employees are Malaysian.

Phase 2

Covers 568 hectares and is constantly upgraded over the years with the latest farming methods to reach the potential of producing 5,000MT of shrimps per annum.

 

iSHARP is our innovative approach to:

  • Encourage cooperation between Private Sectors, State Government of Terengganu and Federal Government to stimulate aquaculture industries and it’s modernization.
  • Deliver high quality and consistent certified products for premiums markets.
  • Develop a Malaysian local brand in the international market.
  • Open employment to help generate a source of income in rural areas especially in the district of Setiu.
  • Create business opportunities and economic activities for small and medium entrepreneurs in aquaculture industries with support assistance.
  • Become a sustainable aquaculture business model socially and economically.

iKERPAN

Integrated Kerpan or iKERPAN is a 368 hectares site with 172 ponds located in Kuala Kerpan, Kedah managed by Arca Biru Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Archipelago Berhad since January 2008.

 

Arca Biru and Blue Archipelago have transformed iKERPAN into a fully integrated aquaculture park that consists of grow out ponds, hatcheries and processing plants. With 400 employees, iKerpan’s assets are capable of producing 2,000 MT of shrimps (both vannamei and monodon), (15 million/month x 12 months) 180 million post larvae per annum and 10MT of processed shrimps per day.
